Sun Putty...Good For You, Good For The Earth

Sun Putty Ingredients/Studies

Sun Putty's ingredients have been chosen to provide a natural plant-based formula which creates an interwoven blanket of skin-aiding attributes. A number of plant extracts have been utilized in formulating Sun Putty. The inherent skin-aiding attributes of each plant complement each other, providing outstanding help in protecting and nourishing your skin.

Sun Putty's base ingredient, Vegelatum® Omega 3®, is a novel botanical emollient that is superior to petroleum based emollients such as petrolatum and petroleum jelly. Vegelatum® Omega 3® lightly coats the epidermis when applied to the skin, providing a barrier to environmental insults, yet its botanical constituents penetrate the epidermis, moisturizing and nourishing the skin, unlike petroleum products which remain on the surface, and clog pores. Not only does Vegelatum® Omega 3® provide a safer alternative to petroleum based emollients, it is also an excellent source of Essential Fatty Acids (EFAs) and Vitamin E, supplemented with Rosemary extract (anti-oxidant). It has thermostability, resisting change to it's physical structure at high temperatures. This aids in providing long lasting protection for your skin. The use of Vegelatum® Omega 3® has been shown to be associated with skin smoothing/hydrating and a decrease in fine lines. Click here for more information.

The above Sun Putty ingredients, individually, are not easily used, the plant odors can be strong, and the aftertaste of the ingredients can be bitter. We have combined the individual ingredients in such a way as to provide the benefits of each in a concentrated, pleasant to use gel.

Why not water?

Water is not a major ingredient in Sun Putty. This is because water is often used solely as a solvent, or to expand the volume of a product. Water in the bottle does not mean more water in your skin. There is evidence that water used on your skin can be drying and(or) irritating to your skin. Click here for references. Sun Putty's ingredients are concentrated, not diluted with water, and have been picked especially to promote enhanced hydration of your skin!
